JUBILEE

About Jubilee Park:

For over two decades, Jubilee Park has worked on closing gaps in resources and health disparities in Southeast Dallas. As both a food desert and a medically underserved area, a high percentage of residents in this community do not have access to grocery stores offering fresh and affordable foods, and few have primary care providers in the area. The disparities in health & wellness often lead to a systemic lower level of health priorities which Jubilee continues to change.

The Challenge:

Before COVID-19, they would provide about 40,000 meals a year to children and seniors and serve 150 students in out-of-school time programs. Unfortunately, to comply with the city’s COVID-19 regulations, Jubilee Park had to close its doors to the public and temporarily suspend programs and offer it remotely.
