About Hunger Busters:
92% of students in the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) are considered food insecure, meaning they often go without dinner on school nights. Hunger Busters is leading the fight against food insecurity for Dallas children, providing 350,000 free, after-school meals every year to children in 11 DISD schools as well as 6 after-school programs. Hunger Busters is dedicated to “feeding kids and fueling futures”— they are so much more than a food bank.
The Challenge:
Following school closures in Dallas due to COVID-19, Hunger Busters worked proactively, dramatically shifting their operations to keep DISD kids fed, but they needed to get funds from a key network generous donors in order to remain operational in such a difficult year.
Our Approach:
- Target charitable business owners across DFW with a broad-reaching digital campaign to drive donations.
- Explain the benefits of donating food through Hunger Busters partner network in order to help those in need.
- In light of COVID-19, redirect original digital awareness budget toward a campaign to drive donations.
